Living in santa Pola
Santa Pola is a fishing town that is best known as a popular tourist resort. The proximity of the Alicante airport and the good sandy beaches combined with the perfect climate of the Costa Blanca, make Santa Pola a popular residence area. Santa Pola is a lively town. Even in winter there is enough activity, unlike many small tourist resorts.
In summer the town fills mainly with Spanish holidaymakers. Foreign restaurants or cafes are much less present than in many places elsewhere on the Costa Blanca. Santa Pola still retains the atmosphere of a typical Spanish fishing village on the Mediterranean.
The access roads to Santa Pola are very good. Moreover, Santa Pola is near Alicante Airport Airport. To the south is Murcia San Javier airport not far away. South of Santa Pola are La Marina, Guardamar del Segura and Torrevieja. In the north of Santa Pola is Alicante.
From Santa Pola you can visit the island of Tabarca. There are regular ferries from the port of Santa Pola.
The port of Santa Pola is still in business and every evening you can see the fishing boats returning with their catch. Santa Pola also has a beautiful Harbor where many boats are moored. The main square of Santa Pola is the Plaza de la Glorieta. This is a nice place to stay at night. There are many stalls with Spanish treats, ice cream, drinks and selling trinkets.
The beaches of Santa Pola are generally large and have many facilities. To the north you'll find the beaches of Vardero Beach and Levante Beach (north). In the south lies the beaches Gran Playa (the main beach of Santa Pola), Pinet Beach, La Gola beach, Playa Lisa Beach Tamarit Beach.
